In conclusion, I really like the New Scooby Doo Mysteries if I care to overlook the flaws it has- my favourite episodes are A Nutcracker Scoob and the episode with the ghost of Sherlock Holmes. Fred and Velma are merely secondary characters, but make welcome guest appearances throughout the show's run. Also most of the episodes are 15 minutes at least, and compared to the half hour format of its predecessors, I feel that's too short. I love the incidental music, but the theme tune I find forgettable. The voice talents are great, I have always loved Don Messick and Casey Kasem and their characterisations are what make this show at least watchable. On the plus side, the animation is very good, the characters are likable, and I am probably the only one who didn't mind Scrappy here, usually I do find him annoying, and the villains while a little predictable are not so bad. In a moment of 'it's so funny you couldn't make this up' comes news that members of Netflix's hit new show 'Never Have I Ever' were supposedly caught not just sneaking around the historic Hollywood backlot but also were caught sneaking into Halloween Horror Nights - whilst dressed at characters from 'Scooby-Doo'. The New Scooby Doo Mysteries is nice to watch, but doesn't quite have the ingredients that made Scooby Doo Where Are You and the Scooby Doo show so easy to like.
